Initial Psychiatric Evaluations
Your journey toward healing starts with a 60-minute comprehensive psychiatric evaluation — not just to check boxes, but to truly understand you.
We don’t rush to medicate or focus only on surface symptoms. Instead, we take a root-cause approach, exploring how your experiences, environment, sleep, nutrition, stress, trauma history, and physical health may be contributing to how you feel.
During this visit, we’ll take time to talk through your current concerns, history, and what wellness looks like for you. We may also order lab work to better understand what's happening beneath the surface — including hormone levels or nutrient deficiencies that could be impacting your mood or energy.
This evaluation sets the stage for your personalized care plan, which may include medication, supportive therapy, holistic strategies, or a combination. We’ll also look at routines, habits, and systems of support that promote long-term mental and emotional wellness — not just quick relief.
Most importantly, this is a space where you can be real. No pressure to hold it all together. No need to minimize what you’ve been carrying. You’ll be met with curiosity, compassion, and care that sees the full picture.
Medication Management and Therapy
Medication is never our starting point — you are. Together, we’ll explore whether it’s the right tool for your healing, always with a focus on what feels aligned, sustainable, and supportive. We believe in thoughtful, evidence-based prescribing — the kind that’s rooted in intention, not impulse — and your voice will always be central in that process.
But medication is just one piece. Our sessions go deeper.
You can expect a blend of supportive therapy, practical tools, and holistic strategies — woven together to help you reconnect with yourself, not just survive your symptoms. Each client also receives a personalized wellness packet I’ve created — filled with holistic tips, lifestyle tools, supplement suggestions, and practical guidance to support you between sessions. It’s designed to meet you where you are and grow with you as you heal.

I’m Kimberly Abuajah, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC — a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with years of experience in emergency nursing and behavioral health. I started this practice to create a space that feels safe, down-to-earth, and unhurried — where healing is intentional, and medication is one tool among many, not the only option.
Here, we take our time. We listen closely. We look beneath the surface to understand the why behind what you’re feeling — and we walk with you as you begin to shift, grow, and heal.
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, or a season of transition — you don’t have to do it alone. This is a space to exhale, to feel, and to rebuild at your own pace.
