About Peaceful Pond Psychiatry
Peaceful Pond Psychiatry, led by Kimberly Abuajah, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, was built on the belief that mental health care should be intentional, compassionate, and personalized.
Meet Kimberly
Kimberly Abuajah is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with both a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Magna Cum Laude) and a Master of Science in Nursing specializing in psychiatry.
Her clinical background includes years of service in the emergency department, as well as experience in emergency psychiatry, crisis stabilization, and outpatient behavioral health. She has supported individuals across the lifespan as they navigate anxiety, trauma, emotional overwhelm, and major life transitions.
Kimberly’s Approach
Kimberly has developed a thoughtful treatment style that integrates:
Functional psychiatry – looking beyond symptoms to underlying causes
Lifestyle changes – exploring nutrition, sleep, movement, and mindset
Medication management – using medicine as a tool, not the whole solution
Christian counseling (by request) – faith-based support for those who desire it
Her approach is both challenging and compassionate: she encourages growth while meeting clients with empathy, understanding, and clinical expertise.
A Philosophy of Healing
At Peaceful Pond Psychiatry, healing is seen as more than simply managing symptoms. Kimberly believes in helping people rebuild from the inside out—creating new patterns, reconnecting with themselves, and rediscovering what it feels like to be whole, not just to get by.
What You Can Expect
When you step into Peaceful Pond Psychiatry, you can expect care that:
Sees all of you—your story, your struggles, and your strengths
Offers both medical and holistic options to support your wellness
Provides a safe, compassionate space to breathe, reflect, and grow
A Practice Rooted in Compassion & Wholeness
At Peaceful Pond Psychiatry, we meet you where you are — not as a diagnosis, but as a whole person with a story that matters.
We provide thoughtful, individualized psychiatric care through comprehensive evaluation, medication management, and supportive guidance. We also believe education is empowering, so we take time to help clients understand how sleep, nutrition, stress, hormones, and daily rhythms impact their mental health.
Our approach is warm, honest, and unhurried. We hold space for anyone ready to do the work, with a special passion for supporting women — women who are burnt out, overwhelmed, navigating transitions, or quietly carrying too much while trying to hold everything together.
This is a space to breathe. To be seen. To unravel gently. To rebuild with care.
Welcome to Peaceful Pond. You're safe here.
My Why
Before becoming a provider, I was a young woman searching for peace in ways that only left me feeling more lost. I made choices from a place of pain and survival, not understanding what healing could really look like. Facing those challenges head-on—and finally having a safe space to process them—changed everything for me.
Now, as a mom of a toddler and a psychiatric nurse practitioner, my heart is in secondary prevention after trauma—helping women recognize emotional wounds before they deepen into crisis. I built Peaceful Pond Psychiatry to be that safe space: calm, compassionate, and honest. A place where people can begin to heal, find peace, and rediscover themselves—mind, body, and spirit.
